Finding us

The American Gothic House & Center is located in Eldon, 1/2 mile off of Highway 16. We are about 6 miles south of Highway 34 (Exit 199).

We highly recommend that, once you enter Eldon, you follow the brown signs that will accurately direct you to the American Gothic House, whether you’re coming from the north or the south (as not all GPS systems will take you to the right place).

Parking

We have ample parking in the lot across from the American Gothic House Center. RVs, campers, and motor coaches are able to fit in our parking lot. Unfortunately, semi-trucks with trailers cannot fit very easily (both on the roads leading up to our center and in our parking lot).

We ask all visitors to please park in the designated area adjacent to the visitor center (not in the driveway or on the residential road near the house).
